The hands that were there to hold me the day I was born
That cradled me when I needed holding and others couldn’t no more.

I could hold your hands forever.

The hands that taught me how to be gentle,
make and create things,
hold those who are hurting the way you held me when Life was too much and
all I wanted to do was be far away from everyone but you.

The hands that taught me to hold on to hope for dear life,
when darkness was all around me...

Those same hands that,
Had to hold on to dear life for themselves,
And yet somehow found strength to uphold me.

Your hands to me, are beyond beautiful.

Though I see the
Pain
Anguish
Suffering and Scars
They’ve had to endure,

I see the
Love
Kindness
Gentleness
Strength and Fierceness they have shown,
Outshining it all.

I could hold your hands forever.

No poem or words can express
how much I love these hands that led me through the waters of life
Love the person they belong to
who ultimately gave us all life

I could hold your hands forever-I know forever cannot be, but
I will hold them every time I get to see
Those hands that have kept me and
helped me become me.
