ABOUT JESS

Jess Mally is a London based antiracism educator, writer, speaker, podcast host, creative and events producer, consultant and more. With a passion for Social Change, Mental Health, the Arts and Spirituality they hope to use any and all means available to them, to tell stories that shape a better world.

As a third culture kid and growing up as one of the only Black kids in their world, she has always been passionate about racial equality, equity, justice and a better future for all.

After studying political science and sociology in Germany for a while, they chose to change  paths and moved to the UK where they worked as a creative and events producer and curator in the charitable sector for 8 years.

Jess went on to co-found the DEI Agency BELOVD Agency alongside her then business partner Marvyn Harrison. As well as building consultancy frameworks, writing and delivering workshops across all things DEI and building a team with BELOVD, Jess spent over 2 years actively consulting businesses across various industries and supporting them in creating safer, fairer and more equitable workplaces.
Having left the business at the end of 2022, Jess now continues some of this work with a specific yet intersectional focus on anti-racism.

Beyond that, Jess works as a writer for various publications, consults and curates events for organisations aligned with her values, runs workshops, hosts a podcast called The Third Way Podcast and is actively involved in advancing the interests of Black Communities in the UK and worldwide.

Upon request, all thier work can be delivered in German.

What People Are Saying

"Impactful, educational, practical, non-judgemental, and absolutely crucial.  This course is delivered brilliantly by Jess and I wholeheartedly support her and this work.  Jess is able to connect with the audience and tackle this subject expertly, creating a safe and honest space for attendees, leaving them with practical tools to make a meaningful change and become a real ally.  As a white woman and business owner, I can honestly say Jess' course has moved me to ensure all my clients actively commit to undertaking anti-racism training, and I can think of no better starting point than Jess' Introduction to Anti-Racism course."

Our students had a truly moving experience with Jess around the time of Black History Month. Throughout the day she delivered multiple sessions with small groups of boys on her work ‘Young King’. Her ability to connect with the students was amazing.

Sarah Baty, ASPIRE

‘Jess hosted a wonderful Black History Month session for our internal teams. She set the scene early, creating a safe space for a full and open discussion to be had. Not only educating through an insightful and engaging talk, but then opening up questions. The team were hugely grateful to have an outside voice to enable discussions that might otherwise not have been able to take place. We couldn't recommend Jess highly enough to help accelerate your D&I initiatives.’

Graham Alexander, TEADS

“I had the privilege of having Jess produce an event of mine. Her competence and brilliant creativity is second to none - and matched only by her thoughtfulness and passion for social justice.”
